The Old Campbellian Society Annual Dinner - Friday 12th February 2016

Dear Old Campbellian

I am pleased to advise you that the Old Campbellian Society Annual Dinner will take place on Friday 12th February 2016 at the College. Sir Ronald Flanagan GBE QPM will be the Guest Speaker. Sir Ronnie was born on 25th March 1949 in Belfast. He is a retired senior British police officer having held the position of the Home Office Chief Inspector of Constabulary for the United Kingdom excluding Scotland and was previously the Chief Constable of The Police Service of Northern Ireland and had been Chief Constable of its predecessor, The Royal Ulster Constabulary.

The cost will be £40.00 per person. Please complete and send the attached slip to the Society Office, accompanied by a cheque - made payable to The Old Campbellian Society - no later than 2nd February 2016. There is a maximum of ten persons per table and tables will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Smaller groups or individuals will as usual be placed at tables to try to make up tables of ten and also, if possible, in a similar age bracket and I would like to emphasise that the Dinner is open to all Old Campbellians and to their guests.

Please do organise a reunion of your particular year group, be it of those Campbellians who left 10, 15, 20 etc years ago, or of a team or particular group of friends and make up a table or two at the Dinner. Rugby and Hockey teams that have done so in recent years have thoroughly enjoyed meeting up again for the evening. We also hope to gather groups together of Old Campbellians who left circa 50 years ago in 1966 (also including those who left in 1965 and 1967) and 10 years ago in 2006. Chris McNally is hoping to get together a sizeable number of The Class of 2006. So please inform the Society Office if you are trying to organise a group or if you need help with contacting your peers with whom you may have lost touch.

You will be most welcome from 7.00pm when drinks will be available from a bar located in the Central Hall, allowing you time to mix and meet with old friends. A Wine Bar will be set up in the Dining Hall enabling you to order your wines prior to Dinner or during the evening and we would encourage you to order wines on arrival in the Entrance Hall, or avail of the Wine Ordering Service by asking the Society to Forward a Pre Order Form to you in advance of the event. This Form will be on line one week prior to the Dinner. The meal will be served at 8.00pm in the Dining Hall.

I look forward to welcoming you to what should be a very enjoyable evening.

Bill McKelvey (6447) Vice President
