"I am currently writing a play based on school history between the years of 1914 and 1920, which I hope to show next December.
I was wondering whether anyone had any information to assist me to write factually accurate accounts of some of the vivacious, eccentric and stranger characters who have resided at CCB.
In particular, I am very interested in finding out about Margaret Boal, Art Mistress from 1915-1943 (pictured second in on the right front row). She stayed twenty-eight years, seeing through two Headmasters, McFarland and Gibbon and was the first female teacher, but only three lines were ever written about her in The Campbellian.
I am interested in all of the masters during that period, as well as the late OC James Lytton Millar (1206), if anyone has any family connections.
If you have any great stories from this time period or know someone who would, please ask them to contact Suzy McIlveen, Alumni Relations in the first instance: smcilveen@campbellcollege.co.uk.
I am always happy to meet up for coffee and chat. Thanks for all assistance and help!"
