Congratulations to all our pupils who received prizes at Speech Day. Pupils and their families heard presentations from our Chair of Governors, Mr. Andrew Wilson (7177) who congratulated everyone on their success and reminded us how important it is to give back to our community. The Headmaster presented a report of the year, reflecting on how far we had come from the restrictions of COVID at the beginning of the school year that impacted so many activities. Mr. Robinson commented how grateful we all were to be able to host Speech Day again after all this time!
Our Guest Speaker's Address was from Mr. Arthur Stewart LLB (7267) whose father had received a bursary to attend Campbell. He offered his thanks to the College for the opportunity and he spoke about how that had changed his father’s life and in turn enabled him to achieve so much. He was delighted to return in person and never imagined he would be a speaker at Speech Day! He offered his congratulations to our prize winners and advised our leavers that no matter where you are in the world, there is usually an Old Campbellian near by. Arthur's mother Mrs. Julie Stewart was invited to present the prizes to our pupils. She was delighted to be involved in the day and enjoyed meeting so many members of our community.
Head Prefect Ollie, Year 14 (Alden's) concluded the presentations reflecting on how much Campbell has meant to him and how much he is going to miss his friends and teachers. He thanked everyone at school who has contributed to his success in and outside the classroom. (You can read more about the experiences of our Prefects in our latest Spotlight on Prefects on the news page).
