Each year an annual parade of Beating The Retreat takes place at Edinburgh Castle by the National Cadet Force Pipes and Drums. After a three year break due to the pandemic, the tattoo returned on Saturday, April 29th.

Only the best cadets take part and to date, there have been three Campbellians who were selected for this event. We are thrilled that this year we have not one but two students who were selected to join the National Cadets - Campbell College Pipes and Drums members Caelan, Year 13 (School) and Sean, Year 11 (Yates’s). Congratulations to Caelan and Shaun on your impressive achievements!

We were delighted that OC Phil Calvert (7399) who was Drum Major and Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major in 1990 was in attendance to watch the parade along with Robbie Cooper (12290), Drum Major 2022 and now a member of the Edinburgh OTC pipes and drums.
