When students leave us we always encourage them to return to reconnect and catch up on what they have been doing since leaving school. Bert Robinson, Head of Boarding, was delighted the he was recently visited by three young OCs. Most recent leaver, Harvey Laird (12326) dropped by to say hello and was invited by the boarders to join them in a football game, just like old times! Immo Konig (13491) came by to see his younger brother for the weekend. He enjoyed meeting up with the staff, spending time with the students and telling the boaders about his times at Campbell. Like Harvey, he joined in a number of activites, including a game of football!
Immo and Harvey with Senior Boarders
Last week, Nqobile Mlotshwa (12410) met with Bert (pictured above) and housemother Dette Coughlin as well as a range of staff around campus. Nqobile comes back to Belfast every year and says it feels like home as soon as he steps off the plane. Of his time in boarding, he commented that the soft skills learned have been so valuable in the workplace. These imporant skills that you don't learn in univeristy help you navigate teamworking and building effective relationships.
We are so thrilled to have seen Harvery, Immo and Nqobile on campus. Do please stop by and visit us when you are next in the area, we would love to catch up!
