Eventually everyone was seated, after more drinks orders were taken, the Vice President, Chris McNally (9672), welcomed the attendees to the 3rd Old Campbellian Society Business Lunch on Friday the 19th of November 2021, held in The Ulster Reform Club Belfast.
Michael Eames (7094), Consultant Orthopaedic and Upper Limb Surgeon, President Irish Hand Surgery Society & Medical Director Orthoderm and Guest Speaker eloquently briefed the diners about his time at the College, why Medicine, his career and the impact of COVID and then took questions from the floor, all in the space of 15 minutes.
Following loud applause lunch was then served. During coffee Chris McNally distributed a number of gifts to contibutors to an on table envelope appeal the proceeds of which, a fantastic £820.42 (thank you), will be split between the Henry James Campbell Bursary and the Professor Bill Campbell Statue Appeal.
The lunch did not stop there and went on until late into the evening...
